# Levelling Up & Upgrades

Each cuboid will have the capability to level up. All Cuboids start at **Level 1** and level up by playing, allowing players to upgrade their [Stats ](/cubepaper/gameplay/cuboids/stats.md)& [Abilities](/cubepaper/gameplay/cuboids/abilities.md) and also unlocking new abilities (or upgraded abilities).
